Ageless! I used the Waterfront for many years and had another dabble recently and still liked what I saw. Of course it's a student club but the idea of having 2 entirely seperate music styles across 2 floors most weekend nights is great! I wouldn't recommend it for the over 30's as a nightclub but it still has some great gigs with big names playing there all the time.

Great club, never had a bad night here, you know what the place is about and it does not try to be anything its not.

If i was you..I would avoid this place!
80's night.. sounds fab!! Till you get there loads of drunk students.. you go to the bar fro a drink.. well its either drink out of a can or a plastic cup! Its dirty and dark and just basically skanky!

I been going to the Waterfront since I was 17 and I'm now 32! It's great. Where else can you go and wear what you like? There's no pretentious rubbish, total non meat market, no stupidly high bar prices and you get to listen to great music. There's no where else that compares. I remember many years ago when it was shut for ages and there was no where else to go apart from dance music clubs it was hideous!!!!

The Waterfront is a fab club for indie stuff and cheesy 80's nights. No pretentiousness, reasonably priced drinks and even food in the cafe bar! I know that some people think this place is drab and grungy, but it's appeal for me is that it's nothing like Mercy or Lava/Ignite. I don't feel like I'm in a meat market and can really have some fun here.

I think the waterfront is extremely original and very easy going.....of course every person in the world has its own opinions and if you are someone who enjoys to listen to Indie, punk, metal or a bit of grunge this is the place....a lack of these places in norwich is shameful i do feel that most of the other clubs are pretty much the same...this offers a different atmosphere, different music and different people...

The waterfront is dark, dirty and smelly… the perfect place if you like punk or grunge music. Unfortunately the Union of UEA students still arrange non punk or grunge bands to play there when the LCR would be a much more appropriate. Worth avoiding unless you have to go there.
