I stayed here at the end of july with my husband and we found it a lovely hotel! We were greeted by a friendly receptionist when we arrived and were personally shown upto our room. we stayed in a double room which was nice and modern and quite large. there was a flat screen tv and lots other bits and bobs to make it comfortable. we were on a dinner bed and breakfast rate which meant we got to eat dinner in their restaurant. The food was lovely and my husband had the Koby beef which i hear is quite rare. service was excellent. all in all a very enjoyable stay and I would deffinitly reccomend it. We will deffinitly be going back.

What greeted us when we arrived was appalling in style, finish and service. A major disappointment. The website and images would have you believe it is a well designed property in an historic building. In reality we were led to what looked like a Council block tacked on the back of the buidling. The central heating was on and could not be turned off from inside the room. It was unbelievebly roasting and in parts of the room the carpet was actually hot to touch. The furniture and sittings were cheap and nasty. It was like staying in some third world tenement block. Appalling.
Even the toilets in the restaurant were filthy – it looked like a toilet in a busy night club and the end of the night. Also stinking, airless and dark. This to me just says it all. Tacky, tacky, tacky.
