The University of East Anglia Chamber Choir will present their autumn concert, A European Christmas on Sunday 10 December at 6.30pm at St Georges Church, Tombland, Norwich.

The 30-strong chamber choir, under the direction of UEA Choirmaster, Tom Primrose, will take a tour through five centuries of European Christmas music, from rustic medieval carols and the exquisite polyphony of the renaissance, to intimate and ravishing music of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and thought-provoking contemporary works.

Highlights from the programme will include: Mateo Flecha el Viejoís, Riu Riu Chiu; Jacob Handlís, Mirabile mysterium; William Byrdís Puer Natus est Nobis; Michael Praetoriusí, Es ist ein Ros entsprunge; Franz Xaver Gruberís, Stille Nacht; Gustav Holstís, This have I done for my true love; Francis Poulencís, Quatre Motets pour le temps de NoŽl; and Michael Headís, Little Road to Bethlehem.

The concert will be performed in the beautiful, medieval surroundings of St Georges Tombland.

The concert is free to attend and all are welcome.
