Cinema City is steeped in heritage, both from a cultural point of view and from the historical angle of its setting.

Cinema City is housed within and on the site of the elegant and fascinating Suckling House and adjacent Stuart Hall in the historical heart of Norwich..

An essential stamping ground for film buffs, Cinema City hosts a broad programme, ranging from the popular blockbuster to the lesser know independent movie. World cinema is given equal footing here.

Cinema City reopened after extensive refurbishment in late 2007. It now boasts 3 superior screens, state of the art sound equipment and digital projection facilities and new public areas including a bar and a top class restaurant. In addition, areas of Suckling House that were previously inaccessible to the general public are now open for the first time.

In addition to being an atmospheric and well-loved venue for watching films in Norwich, Cinema City offers exciting practical courses for schools and the general public, designed to stimulate and enhance appreciation of moving image culture in an informal, accessible style.

A great cinema for alternative viewing choices. Further a very warm and comfortable theatre.

Lovely refurb, and I desperately want to like it. But this place always feels a bit pretentious. If you want to watch a film that you can see elsewhere then do so. It seems to be the rule here to loudly discuss the movie throughout, which is rude, selfish and annoying. Please, if you want to talk all the way through a movie then wait till it comes out on DVD.

Good viewing and OK seats - particularly if use row opposite exit doors. Helpful advice at box office. Please get a move on with conversion of old premises.

Excellent alternative little cinema, which luckily shows all the films you can't catch on the big multiplex screens. Currently hosted at the Playhouse theater.
